Fuad is developed and maintained by one person. I read every message personally, usually within 24 hours. Before emailing, please check the FAQ below — most questions are answered there.
Frequently asked
Prayer times look wrong for my location
Fuad calculates prayer times locally using the calculation method you picked. Accuracy depends on two things:
- Location permission. Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Fuad → "While Using the App". If you denied location, Fuad falls back to the city you set manually.
- Calculation method. Different regions follow different conventions (Umm al-Qura in Saudi Arabia, Muslim World League elsewhere, Diyanet in Turkey, etc.). Settings → Prayer Times → Calculation Method.
If both are correct and times are still off by several minutes, email me with your city and which method you use — I'll check the reference.
Quran audio won't play or keeps stopping
Audio streams from public Quran audio CDNs. A few things can go wrong:
- Weak Wi-Fi or cellular signal — try switching networks.
- Cellular data disabled for Fuad — check Settings → Cellular → Fuad.
- iOS Low Power Mode — it sometimes pauses background audio.
- A specific reciter's server may be temporarily down — try another reciter.
If audio works for one reciter but not another, it's almost certainly that reciter's hosting, not the app. Tap "Download for offline" on a surah and it will keep working without network.
Qibla compass is spinning or inaccurate
iPhone's magnetic compass needs calibration and clear from magnetic interference:
- Move away from metal objects, speakers, magnetic cases, laptops, and other phones.
- Hold the phone flat, move it in a figure-8 pattern for 3–5 seconds to recalibrate.
- Make sure Compass Calibration is enabled: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → System Services → Compass Calibration (on).
If it's always wrong by a consistent angle, your phone's magnetometer may need recalibration — use Apple's Compass app and do the figure-8 there.
Does Fuad collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, no tracking, no analytics servers. Everything stays on your device. See the full Privacy Policy.
Is Fuad free? Will there be ads or subscriptions?
Fuad's core features — prayer times, Qibla compass, Quran reading with five free reciters, all 51 Azkar, Muhasaba journal, and study mode — are free with no ads. Premium reciters and power-user extras may be offered as an optional subscription in the future through Apple's standard in-app payment system. Nothing you currently use will be taken away.
The first 1,000 users who use Fuad for 7 days get lifetime premium access through the Early Adopter program — no payment required.
Which iOS versions are supported?
iOS 18.0 or later, iPhone and iPad. The app supports light, dark, and system themes, and uses iOS 26 Liquid Glass where available.
Android version?
Not currently. Fuad is a native SwiftUI / iOS-first project. I don't have an Android timeline.
Can I suggest a feature or a new reciter?
Yes, please. Email me. Include the reciter's full name, style (mujawwad, murattal), and any public audio source if you know one. For features, a short paragraph describing the use case is more helpful than a one-line request.
I found a bug — how do I report it?
Email me with:
- iOS version (Settings → General → About → iOS Version)
- Device model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro)
- App version (tap the Fuad logo in Settings screen 5 times, or check Settings → Fuad)
- Steps to reproduce — what did you tap, what did you expect, what happened
- A screenshot if visual
Full logs and reproduction steps fix bugs 10x faster than "it doesn't work."
How can I help the project?
The most valuable things you can do cost nothing:
- Leave an honest review on the App Store — it's the single biggest factor for discoverability.
- Tell a friend or family member who prays that Fuad exists.
- Report bugs and send feature ideas to the email below — I read every message.
- If you speak a language Fuad doesn't support well yet, offer to help with translation.
Still need help?
Email the developer directly. Responses within 24 hours, usually much sooner. English, Russian, and basic Arabic are all fine.
